Cacao was named ‘Theobroma’ meaning ‘food of the gods’. A ripe cacao pod has 20-40 seeds sitting within the pulp. The flavour of the beans depends on the variety and the growing conditions such as soil temperature, sunshine and water. ⁣ ⁣ Cacao pod is the raw product used to make chocolate and cocoa in its many forms. ⁣ We grow cacao trees on our very own farm in Wayanad Kerala using sustainable farming techniques to get some beautiful organic Indian cacao beans. ⁣
