Cacao was named ‘Theobroma’ meaning ‘food of the gods’. A ripe cacao pod has 20-40 seeds sitting within the pulp. The flavour of the beans depends on the variety and the growing conditions such as soil temperature, sunshine and water.
Cacao pod is the raw product used to make chocolate and cocoa in its many forms.
We grow cacao trees on our very own farm in Wayanad Kerala using sustainable farming techniques to get some beautiful organic Indian cacao beans.
